Refugee Youth Project has recently started running educational workshops in schools. Volunteers use RYP educational packs to present assemblies and run sessions and activities in schools, with an initial focus on schools in London & Brighton. If you are interested in being involved in running workshops in schools during the next academic year in 2009-10 and are free to volunteer during school hours please contact us at info@refugeeyouthproject.org.uk with ‘schools project’ in the title of your email for further information. We are particularly looking for volunteers in the Brighton and London areas.
If you would like to get involved in fundraising for our work in Lebanon or our Nepal, for example by organising events or utilising other skills, then please contact us.
There are currently no vacancies at Refugee Youth Project.
In 2008 and 2009 Refugee Youth Project has sent volunteers to Glastonbury and other summer festivals to pull pints for the Workers Beer Company. Volunteers got a free ticket to the festival and their wages went to Refugee Youth Project. It was a lot of fun all round, and Refugee Youth Project hopes to have a similar presence at festivals in 2010. Contact us if you'd like to get involved.
